NASC, NABDA kick off awareness on quality seed

The National Agriculture Seed Council (NASC) and the National Biotechnology Development Agency (NABDA) on Thursday, embarked on a road show to create awareness for the use of quality seeds by farmers.
The Director General of NASC, Dr Philip Ojo said the road show was an awareness campaign to put to an end to use of fake and adulterated seeds and adopt improved seed for bumper harvest.
Dr Rose Gidado who represented the Director General of of NABDA, called for the use of modern technology to advance agriculture.
She also advocated for the use of improved and certified seeds, which she said would improve agricultural productivity.
